Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Divorce and Covenant Marriage

My husband and I were married February 15,1997 under just the regular terms. On our one year anniversary my sister in law and her husband were renewing their vows and it was a covenant marriage. They had about 100 couples at the church who did this including us. I don't know why we did this because We cannot get along, we have nothing in common. When I met him we were partying all the time I don't do that anymore. He is a sportsaholic and that is all he wants to do and lately he has been wanting to drink all the time and do other things. I have two small children and I don't want that kind of stuff in my house. I want to raise them right in a christian home.We fight constantly and I don't want my children to have to keep hearing us fight it just isn't healthy. I know divorce is wrong but I have been trying for five years and I don't know what eles to do is it possible to get a divorce? What would we have to do?
