Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Increase in Child support

Can child support be increased due to the non custodial parent being married and that spouse has income as well? Do different rules apply to calculate amounts for special needs children and is the childs disability payments included in the calculations?

Re: Increase in Child support

Normally the non-custodial parent's spouse is not considered unless that parent does not substantially contribute to his (her) own household.

As to special needs children, if those needs generate unusual expenses for the child then those expenses should be added to any child support amounts.
