Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

What information, if any, is an employer required to give out, about an employee? We have an employee that is being sued (supposedly). They have instructed us not to give out any information about them over the phone, including whether they actually work here or not. Can we legally do that?

Give them NOTHING until you are ordered to do so by a proper Court of Law. If you give them anything over the phone that causes damages, especially after the employee told you not to, could cost you MONEY!
