Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

I was ran off the road on my motorcycle by a driver. It was over 18 months ago and I didn't pursue anything at the time of the accident. Can I now?

You cannot sue the other driver at this point. You only have one year to sue them. However, you have two years to file suit against your own Uninsured Motorist insurer. If the driver of the other vehicle is unknown, you would have to go against your UM insurer anyway.
