legal rights

i have 2 certificate of deposits that are mine but my mother is on it in the event that something happens to me. she can't do anything to the account and all taxes are my resposibility unless i die....my question is if my mother was to die before i did, i have 1 sister and i was wondering if this were to happen does my sister have any legal rights to my money?

It is critical that you receive in writng from the bank an explanation of the type of joint ownership of the CD, since some can be owned in such a way that your mother has present rights to the money, and some joint ownerships can be set up with no rights other than she takes it over if you predecease her.
