Legal Question in Consumer Law in Maryland

I put a 1/2 down on a procedure at a laser company here in frederick in march 2010.I wet back into the business 2 days later & told them I wanted to cancel & wanted my money back,however was told i would have to come back because the manager was not there.I called & talked to the manager the next day. she wasn't very nice,told me I would need to put something into writing, which I did & sent it certified mail.Never heard anymore other than she stated I needed to fill out a form,which she never sent.The contract which I never signedbecause I never paid in full,states if no serviced were rendered,you will get a full refund.I went to the court house to file a small claims case against them, the clerk told me maybe I should contact the business 1 more time,so I did. I was sent a form asking why i wanted my money back & why cancelling the service.I sent that back certified mail Nov.1,2010.today is Dec.1 2010,still have seen no money.Can you tell me what to do please. Thank-you

I think you had the right idea by filing a small claims case. If you want, you can send one more letter stating that you are giving them 5 business days to repay your money in full. Otherwise, you will file a lawsuit in small claim's court. If they don't pay in that 5 days, go ahead and file, no more letters. Of course, if you hire an attorney to represent you, your chances of success are better.
