Re: changeing my name

There is an established process for changing your name which involves

filing in court, public notice, and other factors. An attorney can assist you

with presenting your case on proper basis and filing. You cannot change your name with the intent to evade

your creditors, doing so may bring other penalties as well as bar you from changing your name. Your name change becomes a part of the court record and a creditor would be able

to identify this information.

Go to the clerk's office (civil division)of the court of record in the jurisdiction where you live and ask whether they have a packet of materials with instructions and forms that will

permit you to file for a name change without the assistance of an attorney.
