Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

Credit cards

My wife just opened 2 credit card accounts in her name only. I told her she is going to be responsible for them because I dont want anything to do with them. If she gets herself in trouble with these accounts can they come after me for her debt or ruin my credit rating. I did not co-sign for any of these.

Re: Credit cards

If you did not co-sign your wife's account, you should not have a problem with your credit rating. However, you can get a free copy of your credit report once a year in Maryland, and can do this periodically just to check the status. - Michael Worsham, [email protected].
