Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

dental judgement

i have to be in court friday for examination in aid of enforcing a judgement from a dentist.. i was in a car accident in feb of 96 and its now 6-2003 and the insurance company of the owner of the car was to pay this debt and i am now finding out about this. Is there a statue of limitations on this and can i win??

If a judgment was obtained in 1996 it is still valid since judgments in MD are good for at least 10 years. If the judgment was not against you, then they can not collect against you, but could use information you give them to locate assets of the person who the judgment is against.
