Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

Hi

I sent an email to person saying i will pay 150 dollars for online training. Now he is saying if you dont pay it by tomorrow i will go for lawsuit against you which makes me more mad.

What are my options?

because 150 dollars is not the issue for me. The way he is asking me money is not fair. So what can i reply to that person to defend myself against lawsuit for 150 dollars. I don't even know a person can file a lawsuit for 150 dollars.

If you received the training and promised to pay the $150, what's the problem? Go ahead and pay him. He either doesn't have good manners/business sense, or he's frustrated -- how long has it been since you received the training? If he wants to, he CAN sue you in District Court (small claims) for the $150, which he will win if he provided you the service. He will also be able to ask for you to pay his filing fees and any court costs. It could add up to a little more than you know. Just go ahead and pay him and don't refer him to friends. Why meet his attitude with more attitude? Take the higher ground.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
