If you have a problem with your girl friend and she calls the ambulance and the call the police but you girl friend is not ready to press any charges what might be the out come of the case please? should i look for a lawyer straight away . a letter was sent to me by the sherief office to report to the office if i go there will i be arrested?

You may be arrested, or it may just be a criminal summons. You should definitely get an attorney immediately to find out what you need to do. Also, your inquiry says "the call the police." Do you mean the EMT's called the police or the girlfriend? This could potentially make a big difference.
