Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

my court papers from a violation of probation case say nothing about reporting to a probation officer. not even a statment about backup time. how can i tell if i am still on probation. excluding the go to the local probation ofice and ask awnser.

please help,

You should have received documents from your case that spelled out the terms of the probation you were given, including the duration. One of the more common violations of a probation order is failure to obey all laws. Even a traffic violation can trigger a violation.

Try entering your case number at Maryland CaseSearch, because it may indicate the term of your probation. However, if the probation agent requested the violation within thirty days of when the probation would have expired, then the state may pursue the violation, even though your probation may have long since expired by the time you get to court. Seek counsel.
