Forgery

If an individual was being charged with--name removed--crime of one count forgery/possession of private documents, and they have never been in trouble with the law, and had no knowledge they were participating in--name removed--criminal act, how would they defend themselves?

Forgery is a very serious offense. On the other hand, the fact that the individual has had no prior convictions suggests that the Court may be lenient. However, I would advise against handling this without the assistance of experienced criminal law counsel.
