Searching Possesions
My girlfriends ex husband was arrested on drug charges on the job. Although they are divorced they still work at the same job place. She was questioned and her car searched after HR had informed the federal agents she was the ex to the person being charged. Legally can she sue the company/HR department for offering that information without being asked? Were the agents withing their rights for involving her in the investigation when without the information provided by human resources they would not have known about her. Certainly she was embarrassed. Were her rights violated?

I dont see a violation by her employer, only by police if they didnt have probable cause. If she wasnt charged however, no harm, no foul.
