Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Bench Warrant

The NCP in my case has a bench warrant for her arrest for failure to appear in court. The police have tried to serve on her a few times. If I see her out in public or around and call the police, will they come and pick her up?

Re: Bench Warrant

Probably not, if it involves them dispatching an officer. They have a warrant squad that does these at set times. Usually they try and contact the "arrestee" and encourage him/her to surrender to a precinct so they can avoid the potential embarrassment of being picked up unexpectedly.
