Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Im a disabled veteran, whom has stayed at home for two years with my child. My husband is a government employee and makes about $85,000. a year. We have decided to get a divorce. My husband promised to help me financally before I had the baby and he has not done so. Im also dealing with some abuse, because I dont have much if an income will i still be able to retain partial custody of my son and what will I be able to receive from the divorce? We own two properties,we live in the Maryland home and rent out the Virginia home. Can you give me some advise as to what I should do? I dont know how much longer I can take living in this house with him and I dont want to leave with out my son! I dont mind sharing custody. Im ready to check into a womans shelter, so that I can get my life back. Please help me, I only receive $378.00 a month from the VA and after I pay my bill and medication Im only left with around $100.00 a month and he refuses to provide for me. I Thank you .

Physical separation from an abusive environment is the first action. Do not subject yourself to injury.

Title of the real estate and other marital asset division should be discussed with an attorney. He may likely acquire legal representation which should not cause you to relinquish your action to seek what is legally yours. His pension is subject to division and you need to understand the various matters involved with acquiring your interest.

Child custody is based on the best interest of the child. I would like to discuss many matters relating to custody. Your ability to provide for parental support of your child is essential. Financial support is can be provided through wage garnishment if neccessary.

You situtation requires several aspects of legal action, contact me to discuss.
