Need for Physical Address

Is it illegal to not give physical address to the parent who has physical custody of the child? The parent has complete phone access, but I do not feel he needs to have my physical address. He is telling my wife (the other parent) that legally he has to know our address. Is he right? He lives in Maryland and my wife and I live in Virginia.

Only if the custody or other relevant order requires such disclosure.
