Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Sole custody case

I filed for sole custody of my daughter. I have visitation to see my daughter and when I returned her her mother claimed I abused her and took her to the doctor. she called child protective services and they investgated the abuse and claimed it was unsubstantiated and there was no action taken. Will this hurt my case for custody of my daughter and can it be used against me in court. Is there any action I can take against the mother.

Re: Sole custody case

Since the charges were determined by cps to be unsubstantiated, I don't see how that event could hurt your claim for custody. If she tries to bring it up, you will point out the outcome and suggest that it's indicative of nothing more than an effort by the mother to estrange your daughter from you. Other than that, there's nothing else you should be contemplating.
