Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Auto accident loss and stress

I was rear ended in august by a 17

year old kid. My car at the time was an

audi a6 2.7t.. It was the love of my

life. His insurance company paid off

my car and settled with me for 7500

dollars. Most of that went to my

lawyer and the doctor. I am now

driving a hyundai. Everytime I see an

audi or someone who owns or drives

one I feel a deep depression and

anger... My question is this: would I

be able to sue the kid and his parents

(the insureds) for the amount it would

cost to buy another audi (a used one

from 2001)? I have never sued anyone

before but I feel very strongly that I

am owed something more then the

insurence company was legally

obligated to give me.. Any opinions

good or bad would be appreciated.. I

worked really hard for a long time to

get my audi. I lose sleep over this and

that's not even partially exagerated.

Thanks

Re: Auto accident loss and stress

When you settled with his insurance company, you settled with, and released, the other driver, and you cannot go back now and sue.
