Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Invasion of Privacy

I recently started dating a co-worker who is separated. I found out that his extranged wife has obtained copies of my divorce decree and mortgage/property information along with papers on my car purchase as well as my mothers. I know some of this information is public information at the county courts but I still feel it's an invasion of my privacy. This women lives in a totally different county than I, and would have to go out of her way to obtain this information for whatever reason. What legal actions can I take against her, if any? She is invading my mother's privacy as well. My mother is a co-owner of my home. By violating my rights, she's also violating my mothers rights. If I can't take legal action against his wife, can my mother take legal action against her?

Re: Invasion of Privacy

The type of information your boyfriend's estranged wife obtained--court records and property information--are matters of public record and therefore available to anyone. Thus your privacy has not been invaded and you have no claims for such against this lady.
