Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Is there a time limit to sue a contractor who stole money on a job never completed. This contractor took payments of over 20000 dollars and delivered nothing. He was put on probation and ordered to pay but we never received a dime. He disappeared for years but we have learned he lives in our area again. This took place around 2002 and are curious what our recourses are. Thanks.

Hire a lawyer. He can lien everything the contractor owns, including his home. There are lots of things you can do to recover the money if you know where the guy is. HIRE A LAWYER.

Best of luck.
