How long should an employer hold the employee job/position after they are notifiy that the employee is incarcerated

Absent a written contract stating otherwise (like an contract b/w employer and employee or a union bargaining agreement), there's no law in Maryland that REQUIRES an employer to hold open an employee's job that has been incarcerated. With that said, I highly recommend that you consult a Maryland labor/employment attorney before taking action against the employee so that you can discuss the specifics of your situation.
