Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Maryland

I went to a periodontist for treatment he first mentoned 16,000.00 to fix my teeth. I said the most I could afford was 5.000.00 I would give 2,000.00 and pay each month. I just got a bill for 8,000.00

I did not sign anything what do I do
