Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

my car was towed illegally. i have a sticker in my window issued by my rental office and it was still towed. when i went there i was told i had to pay for service. i could understand if my car had broken down and they towed it for me. due to fault on their own and not looking properly they towed my vehicle. why do i have to pay.

You don't. If the tow company mistakenly towed your vehicle, then it's between the apartment management and the tow company as to who pays. What the tow company did basically amounts to theft, especially if they are illegally holding your car. Give them a chance to change their minds -- if they don't, consider going to small claims court.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
