Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Real Estate Agent agreed to pay me $3,000 at closing

My real estate agent agreed to pay me $3,000 at closing and buy me a new garage door opener. She is now saying she cannot pay me because she didnt put it on the HUD sheet. Do I have any recourse?

The absence of this item from the settlement sheet in no way prevents the realtor from honoring her promise. You should contact her broker about this, and if you don't get satisfaction, file a complaint with the county real estate board. It would be best if you had something in writing, but I suspect that's not the case.
