However, the District Court of Maryland would probably issue a warrant if you failed to appear. Any police officer who learns you have a warrant is supposed to arrest you. While it is unlikely that Maryland would pay to extradite you from another state, there is no limit to the number of times that you may be arrested and held in order to notify Maryland that another state is holding you. I believe that you may be held for 48 hours each time. This process can dog you until you are served with the warrant in Maryland or until you surrender in Maryland.

In addition if whatever state issued your license is part of the same Interstate Compact that Maryland is, then it will suspend your license upon notification by MVA that Maryland has suspended your privilege to drive here for failing to appear in court. You should resolve the issue, because avoiding the trip to Maryland would not be worth the hassle. I have helped people in your situation before, and they only had to come for one day. I offer a free initial consultation.

You could be held in OH until they determine this warrant to be dated. Maybe 30 days or more. Take care of this!
