boyfriend dies and mother is trying to get POA

My boyfriend who I shared a home with for over 8 years died recently and his mother is the POA. What rights does she have to things we purchased together and what rights do have reagrding the items in our home and buisness ventures we went in together. thanks

The outcome will be affected by several matters to include whether your boyfriend had a last will and testament and the type of organization that the business is set up as.

The POA has no effect, that is it is void of effect, after someone dies. A POA operates only during the life of the person who grants the POA. You should contact an attorney for assistance.
