Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Massachusetts

buying a vehicle after bankruptcy

Please tell me if after filing bankruptcy could I legally go out and either purchase or finance a brand new vehicle, even before the previous bank has come to repo the first vehicle? Both of these vehicles are sitiing in the same parking lot everyday and I would like to know if there is a possibility of someone taking the new vehicle or maybe can someone have my bankruptcy overturned? Your help is much appreciated.

I am located in Massachusetts.

Re: buying a vehicle after bankruptcy

There are too many facts missing from the question to be able to make even an educated guess at the answer. Was it a chapter 7 case or chapter 13? Why would the bank repo the first vehicle? I don't understand what you mean by having your bankruptcy "overturned".

If you had a lawyer help you with the bankruptcy case, you should go back to that lawyer to get answers to your questions. They are good questions, but answering them requires more information than you have given in your question. If you can't get answers from your original attorney, or you didn't have one, you can call me.
