Legal Question in Consumer Law in Massachusetts

car repair

I had brought my car in for repair of a power steering fluid leak. I was told it was a hose and car would be ready on a Saturday. When I went in to pick it up I was told it needed another hose also as the mechanic could not get the hose disconnected from the other hose. four days later went to pick up my car and it is still leaking fluid. The hose that was leaking was never replaced. They replaced the 2 most expensive hoses and apparently they were not the problem. $400 dollars later the car is the same as when I first brouhgt it in there. After researching parts out I find out the part that should have been replaced and wasn't costs only 18.00. What are my options with the mechanic?

You need to consult an attorney on this matter . This matter should be well documented and a written complaint made to the Attorney General's Office. A copy of the complaint should go to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs.

If you are still unsuccessful in resolving this matter, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A (research this) may afford you relief.
