Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

Is this advisable

Long story, but couple of years ago falsely charged with domestic violence. Charges dismissed, but after a recent letter to the editor, I was contacted by a reporter, and they want to run my story. The story really makes the police look like idiots, they had proof of my innocence in thier files even before I was charged. It also makes a prosecutor and judge look equally foolish in that they had predetermined guilt based simply on the word of an accuser, in a way our own Massachusetts version of the Duke lacrosse case, although the charge was not near as serious.

I'm debating whether to let them run the story, it would certainly make me feel better after all the grief they put me through. But then again these people made my life miserable once with false charges, what is to say they won't fabricate something again? Any advice??

Join the list.

Many men in your same position.

The public has to learn about the insanity of our judicial system. The restraining orders are the consequences of VAWA and other DV laws that target batterers but catch many, many, many innocent men in their nets.

You raise two issues.

But my answer to your question is that you have nothing to gain and something to lose.

If you feel that you have been aggrieved there may be other means of redress.
