Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

What happens when your criminal trial is postponed because there were no judges to hear it? How many times can this happen because of a lack of trial judges? My husband is in jail awaiting trial and had his trial date postponed.

This happens frequently, unfortunately. A good attorney should be able to get a new date as soon as possible, but there is no time limit in the law for how many times this can happen if it's not the prosecutor's fault.
