my boyfriend is in jail for arm robbery which he is innocent. They cant locate the victim, but are still keeping my boyfriend in jail. Now my boyfriend wants to try to help the feds on a case to try to get hisself out early. Is this a good idea and how can he go about getting in contact with the feds about a case.

Re: innocent inmate

Your boyfriend should be working all of this out through a lawyer. I don't know what information he may have about a federal case, but there is no reason why the state prosecutors are going to want to help him in exchange for his assistance in a federal case. Even if they did, I wonder what risks he may be taking by offering to assist federal prosecutors. In any event, you say he is innocent and they can't locate the victim in the state's armed robbery case. I don't know any of the facts, but his best course of action may be to just sit tight and wait for the state case to resolve itself. Long story short -- your boyfriend should work this out through his lawyer.

Re: innocent inmate

your boyfriend should retain an attorney and confide only in that attorney and not on an open forum like this. Good Luck!
