Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

workplace theft

It has come to light recently that we had at least one but likely several people stealing in my workplace.

In thinking back, I recall being told that something like this could be going on and when I looked into the things that I though would uncover something I found nothing.

Should I be concerned about being prosecuted for not investigating properly, or not reporting it higher.

I have never heard of a criminal charge for a failure to investigate. There may be other issues, however.
