Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

CWOF and law enforcement careers

I recently recieved and OUI and plead to a Cwof including a one year probationary period. Unfortunately, i am currently seeking employment as a corrections officer and concerned about how this may affect my chances of being hired. I have no prior criminal record. The employment application includes a portion asking about prior convictions/ pending cases. im at a loss for how to answer?

Re: CWOF and law enforcement careers

Your case is no longer pending as you have a disposition (CWOF). You have never been convicted since your matter was continued without a finding and assuming that you comply with the terms of probation the end result is then Dismissal.
