Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

If i have a department party at my house,can i be held responsible for any drinking issues after the people leave my house.all guests have been told that i dont drink,they will have to supply all of their beer or wine,ect.if,when one party member leaves ,and either hurts themselfes,or other people off my property,can i be help legally reposible

Most likely you would be named in a civil suit if anything happens--however while you didnt supply the alcohol may be a good defense you did supply the place for the party? As such the questions becomes one of liability-did you by providing a place for persons to drink alcohol have a duty to monitor those persons? The answer depends-Massachusetts does not have any law that says you have to be your brothers keeper-but providing the avenue for harm to ones self or others is surely a breach of ones duty---774-745-0562
