Legal Question in Elder Law in Massachusetts

i have an elderly friend (i have known her all my life) and her "handyman", whom she hired after her husbands death, had her sign a power of attorney, health proxy and a new will when she was recovering in the hospital from a hip operation. my question is that she would now like to add my name to her bank accounts so i can help her with her bills and such, can we do this even though he has her power of attorney? thank you for your time.

She can do what she wants as long as she is competent. She can revoke the Power of Attorney and create a new Will if she wants.

I am curious does she know what she signed. Does she have children or family who she wants to leave anything to, and does the Will say that.
