Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

child support

I am divorced and have living custody of my daughter, 9 yrs ago I had child support issued, but now my daughter is 12 yrs, needs braces, and I also am the insurance carrier. What is the percentage or ratio for child support? I also pay for her to go to private school, which she has attended since she was in kindergarten. What am I and my daughter entitled to. Her father does not give ANY money other than what the child support is. Thank You.

Re: child support

Given that private school is pricey these days, you are not too much in financial need.

With that said, has the child's father had access to the child? Have you allowed him to see her? If not, he likely feels he has no incentive to give you more than the ordered child support.

What is your annual income? Now compare it to his. Is there a sizable differential between the two? Let fairness be your guide.
