morgages and deeds

if one persons name is on the deed and the others name is on the morgage who owns the house in a divorce?

From what you describe this is a little odd. The owner is the person on the deed, the lender has a lien on the property.

You are, on some level, intertwined. The owner can sell and pay off the lender.
