Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Non Disclosure of Assets

I have found out my ex sister in law had been helping my exhusband hide money. She works for an investment firm, and utilized that.

What kind of evidence would I need for a lawyer to get a supeona to investigate this action?

Non Disclosure of Assets

First you may not want to show your hand. You may want to get your ex on record on what assets he has. Then you may want to get an order freezing any assets that may be in his sister's name, or any account that she may have control over. That's when the search becomes exciting. You can also depose her, and ask her to bring all records that involve this matter.

The process requires care, and unfortunately the average person needs the assistance of an attorney.

In any case, you need to be sure that the cost of the process is worth the cost of the process.

The most important step for you is to know the risks and benefits of each step so that you can have a total strategy.
