Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I have been working for the same company(+ 11 employees) for 24 years. The company has a vacation policy for fulltime employees..2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after whatever..I obviously fall into the 4 week category,no more than 4 weeks..no rollover(use it or lose it). The company also pays holiday pay (6). The company handbook states no paid sick time, etc. Since vacation time is considered wages, can the company get away with calling the policy a PTO? and avoid the new MA sick pay law..how does it apply to me?

No, but they can change their vacation policy. Moreover, they would be making a mistake in trying to do so, since the new law requires that they allow up to 40 hours of paid sick leave to be carried over to the following year.

The Company Handbook needs to be revised as it is out of date.
