broken wrist due to store fall

while shopping at food warehouse i tripped and fell over empty boxes left on the floor resulting in a broken wrist, there are three witnesses to this fall. manager did nothing but had me fill out a incident report,had to ask three times for ice for injury. should i seek legal advice even if i had insurance to cover medical bills?

Yes, Retain an attorney immediately who will be required to take the case on a contingent fee (paid only if you recover) basis. You are entitled to recover for your pain and suffering, loss of income ,disabilty, loss of earning capacity and other consequential damages that your medical insurance does not cover. In fact they will seek to be subrogated (in your shoes) to be reimbursed by the wrongdoer. Start a diary, document everything, and if married, your spouse should do likewise, as they have a separate loss of consortium claim. Take it all to a lawyer and speak to no one else about it.
