Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Huge poison ivy bushes are coming from my neighbor's property and causing large concern, as they are now into my yard where people can easily walk by and come in contact. I have cut them back before, but it is a persistent problem. Can I legally require my neighbors to remove these plants from their yard/fence?

Contact the local health dept for the town and ask them to inspect the situation as a health nuisance. If they determine it is a nuisance they will order the removal of the plants.

I would first ask the neighbor to get rid of the poision ivy by sprayin the appropriate weed killer and cutting back the plants.

Good Luck
