i was deeded the majority share of a home,with parent having life estate,parent passed away,these actions were taken to try to keep me in home as i came from another state to provide care,im afraid other owner is going to try to force sale,can i quitclaim my share of home to another giving myself or one of my children a life estate therefore blocking any forced sale of home,i cannot get a mortgage for probably a year because of credit - is this legal,will it work

Transferring title will not stop the home from being sold. You need to come to some sort of an agreement with the other owners. You can delay the process of forcing sale by opposing a Petition for Partition.

I suggest you contact an attorney and see what the best options are for you to keep living in the home.
