Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Is this right?

I have been employeed with a very large corporation/state farm for 4 years. When I hired in it was never told to me that they do not allow body piercings/in particular nose piercings. I have recently gotten my nose pierced and my boss is giving me a hard time and telling me that i have to take it out. Would that be considered a discrimination against my rights as a free citizen?

You lose your freedom of expression when you work. I understand your rage as I was thrown out of a place years ago while I cleaned the toilet for having long hair. However, the law is on the side of State Farm. You sound like a guy who should be looking for some type of self-employment. Bill Stern

Guess who also has rights as a free citizen? That's right --your boss does. When you get to be boss, you can make the rules.
