Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I bought a computer off of someone off of craigslist. The ad stated that it was not working and I was told that a low cost part needed to be replaced. I took the computer into the repair shop and found out it was a more expansive part that needed to be replaced. I tried to contact the seller a week later to demand my money back and his phone was disconnected. I know the name and address of the person but could I win in a small claims case? It has been 2 months since we did the deal. What would prevent him from saying I damaged the computer while I had it?
