Drugs in Car

I live in michigan, my son was in the back seat of a car, and pot was found in the car, everyone in the car told whos pot it was, the passanger. My son is being held in jail.....Why?

What is your son's bond? Where did this happen? Was the Hamburg Twp police involved?
