Felony Expungement

I was wondering how to go about getting my felony taken off my record.I was arrested for solicitation about 4 yrs ago and did all my probation and court costs and now have a decent job.I was on probation for 2 yrs and finished that.I would like to wipe my record clean after my stupid mistake. Thank you

Re: Felony Expungement

assuming this is your only criminal offense, you were convicted of only one count, and it is over 5 years, you can file for expungement with the sentencing judge. I have been very successful on these over the years. Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

Re: Felony Expungement

It is too early to set aside this conviction because you have to wait 5 yrs after you were convicted, and it's been only 4 yrs.

This has to be your one and only criminal conviction ever. No other misdemeanors or felonies ... and even traffic misdmeanors count as a "2nd" conviction, which would make you ineligible to set aside any conviction.

The process is not terribly complicated. Read up about it (and download the court forms) at

http://courts.michigan.gov/scao/selfhelp/intro/criminal/setaside_help.htm

You should consult with an attorney in your area who handles expungements to make sure the correct process is followed, etc.
