You probably aren't getting off probation on the 16th now. You are fighting a two-front battle-- the probation violation for the first MIP and the new MIP charge. You are probably in danger of losing any type of diversion or suppressed status as well. You need to get an experienced criminal defense lawyer involved right away to mitigate the damage and hopefully keep your record in tact and out of jail. Feel free to contact my office for more information or a consultation.

Give the judge a reason to give you a break. Do 20 hours of voluntary community service, give blood and keep the receipt, do anything else to show the court you're a good citizen. ...or

Show up for court late with beer breath wearing blue jeans and a dirty tee shirt after failing a drug test. Spend thirty days in jail, loose your job and get kicked out of school.
