Make sure your husband speaks to NO ONE about the facts of this case . . not even to you. Contact a qualified criminal defense lawyer immediately to obtain competent counsel.

In what county here in Michigan is your husband being prosecuted? This is a serious charge. Please do not let him make a statement to anyone. If he is in jail, the phone calls are recorded.

What can you do for your husband? How about give him a d-i-v-o-r-c-e? Otherwise, future holidays are going to be weird around your house.

"Consent" (mentioned by another attorney's answer) may not be a defense for your wayward husband. CSC 3rd Degree (a felony) can be committed when the defendant engaged in sexual penetration and the defendant and victim were related by blood or affinity (marriage) within the 3rd degree.

And, if they had sexual intercourse before she turned 16, then that count would be CSC 1st Degree (even more serious than CSC 3rd).
