Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Michigan

A good friend of mine was convicted of I believe 3rd degree sexual misconduct in michigan and is now serving 3 years and will have to register on the sex offender list. He was 22 at the time of conviction and she was 21. My question is this, if there was no evidence brought forth in the trial of him commiting this crime how can a jury after 15 minutes of deliberation convict him guilty in a he said she said case. Polygraphs were taken, and medical exams given and all showed negative that anything ever conspired. The case has been looked at by other appeal lawyers and all state there are faults in the case and how it was handled. I know this is a breif synopsis of what happend. Any answers would be appreciated. Also if the family wanted the case reviewed, would any other law firms in michigan just take a look at the case for a minimal fee, to see if its worth proving his innocence.

The jury spoke. Unless there were legal errors by the Judge, this case would be very difficult to overturn. Appellate attorneys are very good and very expensive. Best of luck, Tim Klisz
